6130 Statue of Liberty,...
Statue of Liberty, Azure Torch is an original painting by Iryna Malynovska, created in 2026, in P120 format — 114 × 194 cm. With its large vertical scale, this artwork has a majestic and striking presence. It focuses on one of the most powerful symbols of New York, America and the universal ideal of freedom: the Statue of Liberty.
The statue stands at the center of the composition with strong verticality. The raised arm, torch, crown, solemn face and flowing drapery create an image of dignity, elevation and hope. The monument is immediately recognizable, yet it is not treated as a simple tourist image. Through Iryna Malynovska’s painting, the Statue of Liberty becomes a luminous, almost spiritual figure animated by color, movement and texture.
The title Statue of Liberty, Azure Torch clearly highlights the subject while preserving a poetic dimension. The reference to the Statue of Liberty strengthens the artwork’s visibility and meaning, while Azure Torch gives it a distinctive artistic identity connected to the blue and golden light that fills the composition.
The torch is the visual and symbolic center of the painting. Positioned in the upper part of the work, it radiates with bright yellows, vibrant golds and solar light. This light seems to spread across the entire pictorial space, as an energy rising from the symbol into the sky. It evokes freedom, guidance, resilience, future and the strength of ideals.
Around the statue, the background unfolds in broad movements of deep blue, turquoise, aqua green, yellow and gold. The luminous beams create a sense of momentum, breath and radiance. The contrast between intense blues and golden light gives the painting great visual power, both contemporary and symbolic.
The palette combines deep blues, luminous turquoise, cool greens, solar yellows, bright whites and golden touches. This blue-and-gold harmony gives the artwork an atmosphere of dawn, renewal and clarity. It also brings a strong decorative presence, ideal for spacious interiors.
Iryna Malynovska’s brushwork is expressive, free and structured. The volumes of the statue remain clear, while they are animated by contrasts, reflections and light passages. The drapery, pedestal, face and crown vibrate with painterly energy. The artist does not seek cold photographic precision; she gives the monument emotional and symbolic intensity.
This artwork may be read as a tribute to freedom, New York, America, inner light, resilience and hope. The Statue of Liberty becomes a universal figure: a torch raised into the sky, a landmark, an ideal that continues to shine.
